This course contains 10 one hour virtual lessons. Tweens and teens will be inspired by fashion illustrators to create a variety of artworks using different mediums and techniques. Artists will explore painting, drawing, pastels, inks and paper-cutting while learning about the human form. We will learn about masters of the genre from the 20th century and today, including David Downton, Steven Stipelman, Bil Donovan and BC's own, Gladys Perint Palmer. Tweens and teens will also explore the work of Vanity Fair's 5 must follow fashion illustrators on Instagram like Laura Kay, Katie Rodgers and Canadian born Megan Morrison.
