In this series of four classes, young artists will discover the artwork of Inuit artist, Shuvinai Ashoona and explore her drawing style to create their own unique drawings. Students will learn about Inuit culture and everyday life through her artworks and discover how using just a fine tip pen and pencil crayons, Shuvinai Ashoona creates intuitive drawings that combine everyday life, memories and her imagination to create worlds within worlds. Over the month, we will create hybrid creatures, intuitive drawn landscapes, drawings exploring the concept of how the world is interconnected and unusual ways to use motifs to create imaginary worlds with everyday life.
