In this virtual one-week camp, young artist will have fun learning about all the different ways to create abstract artwork. We will be inspired by nature to create an abstract watercolour, make an abstract family portrait sculpture inspired by Vancouver artist Douglas Coupland, make a mixed media painting inspired by Hilma af Klint, create a Kandinsky inspired landscape while learning about the Fauvist and their use of wild beast colours and finally make a paper collage exploring shape inspired by Sonia Delavencey. By the end of the week, campers will have some beautiful work to show off and a greater understanding of the different ways artist use abstraction.
